Description

What makes the system different and what tasks it is typically chosen for.

Polypropylene fiber FPB 40 is a material used to increase strength and protect concrete against cracking. The fibers are evenly distributed in the mix, forming a reinforcing framework that significantly improves the durability of concrete, mortars, renders and foamed concrete.

Key properties:

  • increases crack resistance of concrete;
  • reduces shrinkage and creep of concrete;
  • increases flexural tensile strength of concrete;
  • improves impact toughness of concrete;
  • increases concrete’s resistance to abrasion;
  • enhances freeze–thaw resistance of concrete.

Recommended dosage:

The recommended dosage of FPB 40 concrete fiber is 1–4 kg/m³ of concrete, depending on the concrete type and the purpose of the concrete structure.

  1. Use as additional reinforcement together with bar reinforcement — from 1 kg/m³ of concrete.
  2. Replacement of welded mesh — from 1.5 kg/m³ of concrete.
  3. Replacement of bar reinforcement or steel fiber — from 1 to 4 kg/m³ of concrete (in accordance with SP 297.1325800.2017).
  4. When producing ready-mix concrete with FPB 40 concrete fiber, no adjustment of aggregate grading, cement or water content, or water–cement ratio is required.

The use of FPB 40 fiber together with concrete admixtures or plasticizers is possible, since FPB 40 concrete fiber does not affect its own or their physical, chemical, mechanical or technological properties.

The material is supplied in 1 kg and 2 kg bags.
