Impregnation system

Concrete impregnation (dust-proofing)

R9–R10

Mineralizing concrete sealer to reduce dusting and absorption of existing concrete. Budget-friendly solution without stopping operations.

Mineralizing concrete sealer to reduce dusting and absorption of existing concrete. Budget-friendly solution without stopping operations.

Typical parameters: R class R9–R10, commissioning 6–24 h. Exact chemical resistance and operating conditions are specified in the TDS and project requirements.

System layers (bottom to top)

  1. Impregnation application — layer 1 consumption: ≈ 0.15–0.25 l/m²
Mineralizing impregnation applied wet-on-wet; reduces dusting and absorbency.
  2. Impregnation application — layer 2 (optional) consumption: ≈ 0.1–0.2 l/m²
Second pass for highly absorbent substrates; excess is removed.

Consumption & rough estimate

  • Impregnation application — layer 1: ≈ 0.15–0.25 l/m²
  • Impregnation application — layer 2 (optional): ≈ 0.1–0.2 l/m²
  • Total for system: ≈ 0.25–0.45 l/m²
    (excluding losses).

Actual consumption depends on substrate condition, porosity and required texture. Pricing is calculated individually considering logistics and volume discounts.

System FAQ

Will impregnation remove unevenness and chips?
No. Impregnation reduces dusting and absorbency, but does not correct substrate defects.
Is it suitable for parking areas and wet zones?
Parking areas usually require anti-slip coatings; impregnation is only a temporary or budget option.
How long does the effect last?
It depends on operation and cleaning; periodic renewal may be required according to the maintenance schedule.
