Linolit® RD®

Linolit® RD® cement-sand covering is a modified dry mix designed to harden freshly placed concrete floors ("wet to wet"), and to level and finish hardened existing floors ("wet to dry") with medium service loads. The finished surface can be polished and used as a decorative coating.

Description

What makes the system different and what tasks it is typically chosen for.

Linolit® RD® floor topping is a powder, modified dry mix consisting of Portland cement, graded quartz aggregate, and compatible chemical additives and fibers.

The dry mix is comparable in quality to dense concrete. Surface durability is proportional to service loads. Where higher performance is required, additional surface treatment is recommended.

Applications:

  • creating a high-strength, long-lasting surface layer on freshly placed concrete floors using the “wet to wet” method;
  • repair, leveling, and hardening of old and worn concrete floors;
  • for warehouses, production shops, garages, shopping complexes, and other facilities requiring a durable, wear-resistant floor;
  • installation of a thin, high-strength cement coating over existing (old) concrete substrates (“wet to dry”) with medium service loads. The finished surface can be polished and used as a decorative finish.

Advantages:

  • enables repair, leveling, and hardening of worn (old) concrete floors when raising the finished floor elevation is limited;
  • can be pumped with a mortar pump without segregation;
  • the hardened layer is homogeneous with the concrete substrate;
  • application improves concrete impermeability to water and aggressive substances, significantly enhancing frost resistance and resistance to oils and fuels/lubricants;
  • the finished surface can be polished and used decoratively;
  • available in various UV-stable colors; the coating does not fade in service.

Use cases:

  • industrial facilities;
  • warehouses;
  • auto centers, parking areas, garages;
  • shopping malls and stores;
  • administrative and cultural/entertainment spaces.
