Description

What makes the system different and what tasks it is typically chosen for.

Praspan® EP-P125 is a two-component epoxy primer system without volatile solvents for dry concrete substrates.

It is used as a primer with high physical and chemical performance for thick-layer cement-based coatings in industrial, commercial, residential and public buildings and structures.

The Praspan® EP-P125 primer consists of an epoxy resin, compatible chemical additives, a filler and a hardener.

Key properties:

  • high adhesion to the concrete substrate;
  • high substrate strength when used as a repair compound;
  • rapid strength development;
  • high cost efficiency of the material.

The Praspan® EP-P125 kit includes:

  • primer component – 19.5 kg;
  • hardener – 4.5 kg.

Kit mass: 24.0 kg.

The material is a matte liquid without foreign inclusions. A yellow tint is possible. Natural sediment is allowed.

Crystallization of epoxy-resin-based materials

All produced materials (topcoats, primers, paints) that contain epoxy resins can harden (crystallize) during transportation or storage at subzero temperatures or under temperature fluctuations.

Crystallization is partial or complete solidification of the material. This is a normal phenomenon that does not degrade the epoxy resin and does not affect the material properties.

To decrystallize the material, it must be kept at a temperature of 40°C to 60°C for at least 2–3 hours. Since the decrystallization process at the job site is often difficult or impossible, it is strongly recommended to store and transport all epoxy products at positive temperatures in the range from +5°C to +30°C.

Material consumption: 0.7 kg/m².
