How we transformed a problematic concrete floor into a floor system resistant to washing and chemical exposure.

Task
- — Ensure floor resistance to continuous exposure to tomato acids, sugars, oils and alkaline detergents.
- — Maintain slip resistance in wet areas, but without excessive roughness that would hinder cleaning.
- — Minimize production downtime when replacing existing coatings.
- — Separate zones by type of load: heavy machinery, pallet racks, pedestrian walkways.

Solution
- — In production workshops and wet process areas, PU-cement Linolit Lincrete SL flooring 6–9 mm thick was used to ensure chemical resistance and resistance to frequent cleaning with hot water.
- — In storage zones and dry auxiliary premises, Praspan EP epoxy coating with increased mechanical resistance and a smooth matte texture convenient for cleaning is used.
- — Machine grinding and repair of the substrate were carried out before installation of the systems, with sealing of cracks and joints.
- — Marking of walkways, storage zones and hazardous areas was applied using a unified color code.

Result
- — A unified system of industrial floors was obtained for different types of zones: from wet workshops to dry warehouses.
- — The floors withstand intensive movement of forklifts, dropping of containers and spills of aggressive media without chipping and dusting.
- — Sanitary treatment has become easier: a smooth but non-slip surface without microcracks and pores.
- — Thanks to phased organization of work, production practically did not stop — the work was carried out by sections.
