Production floors at the plant manufacturing radio components for aircraft equipment of JSC “Elecond” in Sarapul. The flooring had to withstand point loads from equipment, be resistant to process liquids and be convenient for daily cleaning while maintaining cleanliness and a neat appearance of the workshops.

How we transformed a problematic concrete floor into a floor system resistant to washing and chemical exposure.

Task
- — Provide a durable floor covering for electronics and radio component production areas without concrete dusting.
- — Take into account point loads from machines, trolleys and racks over a total area of 4,100 m².
- — Maintain the possibility of quick and regular cleaning using detergents.
- — Minimise commissioning time for the areas without stopping production for long periods.

Solution
- — A polyurethane-cement system Linolit Lincrete SL on a prepared concrete substrate was selected.
- — The substrate was cleaned, milled and primed with strength and adhesion control.
- — A level monolithic floor was installed in several phases so as not to take the entire workshop out of operation at once.
- — The system thickness was selected taking into account loads from equipment and transport as well as chemical resistance requirements.
- — Joints and junctions to equipment were carefully sealed to prevent accumulation of dirt and process liquids.

Result
- — A robust industrial flooring system resistant to mechanical and chemical loads in radio component production was obtained.
- — The floor stopped dusting, and daily cleaning and maintaining cleanliness in the workshops became easier.
- — The risk of damage to warehouse equipment wheels and equipment supports due to concrete defects was reduced.
- — The flooring visually evened out the space and helped emphasise the modern level of production.
