Reference case for industrial floor installation in Ozon logistics complexes in various cities across Russia. The total area of hardened concrete floors is 1,185,000 m². The flooring must withstand 24/7 operation of forklifts and stackers, minimize dusting, and provide stable flatness for racking systems and automat…

Task — solution — result

How we transformed a problematic concrete floor into a floor system resistant to washing and chemical exposure.

01

Task

  • — Provide a durable concrete floor designed for high dynamic and static loads from forklifts, stackers, and pallet trucks.
  • — Reduce concrete dusting to a safe level so as not to contaminate goods, packaging, and warehouse equipment.
  • — Maintain floor flatness within the requirements for high-bay handling equipment and conveyor lines.
  • — Arrange phased floor installation without completely stopping logistics operations and with convenient commissioning of individual sections.

02

Solution

  • — The chosen system is a hardened concrete floor poured on fresh base concrete with a Refloor ST-S200 dry shake hardener.
  • — The monolithic slab is designed for high point loads from racks and equipment, with reinforcement and a carefully considered layout of movement joints.
  • — The dry shake hardener is evenly distributed over the fresh concrete, followed by trowelling and final finishing to the required texture (approximate slip-resistance class R9–R10, combining comfortable vehicle movement and safe pedestrian traffic).
  • — Joints are installed and filled to reduce impact loads on forklifts and prevent edge chipping.
  • — The works are scheduled in phases so that individual warehouse zones can be put into operation immediately after reaching the required strength, without disrupting existing logistics.

03

Result

  • — An industrial concrete floor resistant to intensive use, frequent traffic of equipment, and local impact loads has been obtained.
  • — Dusting has been significantly reduced and day-to-day cleaning simplified, which is important for storage quality and order picking.
  • — The floor flatness meets the requirements of warehouse equipment and racking systems, reducing the risk of accidents and increasing cargo handling speed.
  • — This reference demonstrates what hardened concrete floor solutions can be applied to logistics hubs and distribution centers in Uzbekistan.

Client testimonial

“After commissioning, the floors withstand round-the-clock operation of equipment without critical damage, and dusting and cleaning issues remain within routine maintenance limits” — a generalized feedback from the logistics complex operations team, used as a demonstration quote.
