Расчетный срок службы упрочненного слоя

Reference project for the large tire plant PJSC Nizhnekamskshina in Nizhnekamsk. On production and warehouse areas with a total area of 48,450 m², a hardened concrete floor with the dry shake topping Refloor CT‑S200 was installed for the movement of conveyors, forklifts and stackers.

Task — solution — result

How we transformed a problematic concrete floor into a floor system resistant to washing and chemical exposure.

01

Task

  • — The customer needed to obtain a durable floor for existing workshops producing automobile tires.
  • — Main operating conditions: continuous movement of conveyor lines, forklifts and heavy trolleys, local impacts when storing molds and finished products, possible spills of process liquids.
  • — It was important to minimize concrete dusting, prevent chipping of the surface layer and at the same time maintain practical timeframes for work execution at an operating production facility.

02

Solution

  • — As a solution, a hardened concrete floor with the dry shake hardener Refloor CT‑S200 applied to fresh concrete was selected.
  • — Floor structure: concrete base with a design compressive strength grade of at least C30/37, Refloor CT‑S200 hardening layer, protective treatment of joints and technological details.
  • — The work was carried out in stages, by sections, taking into account the production schedule: individual areas were taken out of operation, cast and put back into service after strength gain so as not to stop the plant as a whole.
  • — For zones with increased wheel loads and equipment turning, special attention was paid to the layout and filling of expansion joints in order to reduce the risk of chipping along the joint and vibration of the equipment.

03

Result

  • — After the floor was put into operation, the customer received a rigid, non-dusting floor resistant to wear from wheeled equipment and mechanical loads.
  • — Costs for current repair of the surface layer and local patching decreased, cleanliness improved in the areas of conveyors and storage racks.
  • — The hardened Refloor CT‑S200 layer made it possible to distribute loads evenly, reduce the risk of potholes and maintain floor performance under intensive operation for many years.
