How we transformed a problematic concrete floor into a floor system resistant to washing and chemical exposure.

Task
- — Provide decorative seamless flooring that supports the premium interior of the restaurant.
- — Ensure a comfortable and safe surface for guests and staff (approximate R-class R10–R11).
- — Take into account intensive operation: spills of drinks and food, frequent wet cleaning with chemicals, movement of tables and chairs.
- — Minimize the number of joints and dirt accumulation zones in order to simplify cleaning and extend the service life of the floor.

Solution
- — Decorative mosaic floors based on Linolit TERRAZZO on a prepared concrete substrate were chosen as the system.
- — The substrate was leveled and prepared for the terrazzo system with control of strength and adhesion.
- — The floor pattern was designed in a single color palette of the restaurant interior, with smooth transitions between zones.
- — After curing, grinding and polishing were carried out, then a protective coating was applied to simplify cleaning and increase resistance to household chemicals.
- — For walk-through zones and entrance groups, an increased anti-slip effect was provided (approximate R10–R11 due to selected aggregate size and finish).

Result
- — A continuous decorative floor without visually noticeable joints was obtained, which became part of the restaurant's architecture.
- — The floor withstands intensive traffic and regular cleaning without loss of appearance.
- — Thanks to a smooth but non-slip surface, guest comfort and staff safety have increased.
- — Terrazzo floors emphasize the concept of the venue and do not compete with furniture and decor, working as a high-quality background.
